Higashiyama



Kiyotakigawa River


Kiyotakigawa River is well-known for Autumn leaves.

Ninna-ji Temple


This temple was built in 888. One of the famous retired Emperor, Uda was living in this temple.
And this temple was registered as a world heritage place.

Tadasu Forest


Tadasu Forest is called "Tadasu-no-mori" in Japanese. This Forest is in Shimo-gamo-jinjya Shrine.

Shimo-gamo-jinjya Shrine


This place has a beautiful forest even in Kyoto city. You can feel a calm atmosphere. And it heal your mind. Besides beautiful river, Kamogawa flows near here.

To-ji Temple


This temple was built in 796. It is located at almost the center of Kyoto city.This one is one of the world heritage place.
I really like this temple. 'cause it makes peaceful atmosphere.

This temple is the first place where people cultivated Japanese green tea, which was imported from China originally. There is still a plantation for green tea.
